Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman is in his 50's and has created the ultimate Batsuit but is no longer fully able to do the job so places the suit away and vows to never use it. Several years later and into the next century there's a new breed of criminal terrorizing Gotham City but Bruce has kept his vow. Terry McGinnis, a teenager whose father was killed because he was going to expose criminal activities at the company that he works for which just happens to be Wayne Enterprises. Terry comes across Bruce as he was being beaten by some thugs, he takes him to the mansion and he discovers the Batcave and the Batsuit; he takes the suit to get the people who killed his father. Afterwards Bruce decides to make him the new Batman and train him. Fueled by remorse and vengeance, a high schooler named Terry McGinnis revives the role of Batman. Under supervision of an elderly Bruce Wayne, he fights crime in a harsh futuristic Gotham. Throwing the series into the future gave the creaters of batman beyond a whole new cluster of avenues to take the series. I think the graphics were excellent and the storylines are often quite good. If you are into action and enjoyed the old batman series, you have to check this show out. At first I thought that the idea of having a teenage batman was really pretty stupid. Though after watching the first few epsoide., I'll admit that I was hooked. Then I ended up watching this show called "Pokemon," and I wanted to throw the remote control at the TV since it was so lame. So after watching both shows, I'll honestly say that the WB should be promoting "Batman Beyond" more, because it will last in the long run. If you want to differ with me on that, well than TOUGH!
